How to send SMTP — recommended. Gmail, a Hostinger mailbox, or a relay like Amazon SES or Brevo. Pick your provider below. PHP mail() — no mailbox, no password, nothing to configure. But Hostinger caps this at 10 per minute and 100 per day, and unauthenticated mail is far more likely to land in spam. Fine for testing.

The app stops before this number and resumes when the rolling 24-hour window clears, so it never trips the provider's own cap. Use 450 for free Gmail (cap 500), 1800 for Google Workspace (cap 2,000), 0 for no limit.

With Gmail this must be the account itself or a verified "Send mail as" alias, otherwise Google rewrites it and customers see your raw Gmail address.
